True...however, IIRC you can't run anything "yet" but Solaris 8 on it.
Even if you want Solaris 7 on a netra you have to upgrade to a
different model(don't have it handy on me) but I think it costs around
~$7000-8000.

This is 95% correct. You cannot run anything other than 8 on the X1's (IDE),
and I am pretty certain that the current T1's (SCSI) can not either. Older
T1's can run earlier revs of Solaris. We just went through this trying to
mimic a client environment that is running older solaris revs. 

That said, I do think if a ultra is not found for the project quickly, a
usparc paypal account might not be a bad idea. Although I don't have any
usparcs to run the port, I'd be good for $25 to help the project.
