/etc/ttys:
console "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600"           vt220   on secure local

/etc/boot.conf:
set tty com0

If you only want an "additional" serial-tty and leave 'console' on the
vga/keyboard connection, check if you have 'local' in your /etc/ttys
