2.8-STABLE end of life

Hello folks,

  Starting with the release of OpenBSD 3.0, on december 1st, the
2.8-STABLE branch will be out of regular maintainence.  There will be
NO MORE fixes commited to this branch.

  People relying on 2.8-STABLE are strongly advised to upgrade to a more
recent release (preferrably 3.0 as it becomes available) as soon as
possible.
