How do I use gif interfaces and/or do OSPF over IPsec tunnels ?

The manual page for brconfig is more useful than the man page for gif(4).
Anyone got some more real-life examples ?

My requirement - from not necessarily understanding the gif(4) functions -
is that I need to run IPsec tunnels / transports (whatever) over interfaces
so that routeing protocol engines such as zebra's OSPF can see the secure
links as interfaces... any better way of running a pair of tunnels between
two boxes (over different external links) and/or triangulating using an IGP
over IPsec would be just as useful.
