Re: -stable usb weirdness [sic]



FYI My 3.0-stable system becomes very shaky if I forget to unmount before
unplugging a usb mass storage device.

Plugging it back in doesn't help.  If I try to unmount the device
subsequently the umount process hangs and requires a -QUIT to kill it.  I've
also sometimes noticed that I can't log in and it stops responding to pings
after this.
