You're the second person to tell me this one, so it must be the truth.
I actually was doing some reading through the rc man pages, and the
rc.* files.

The syntax for the above command is interesting. While logged in as
root and current dir was /etc, I did ./netstart and was promptly told I
didn't have permissions. Evidently, the proper way to run the netstart
script is with the above command. After samba finished compiling, I'll
give it a try.

Thanks everybody.

PS Thanks to to Don Cooley with the ifconfig stuff. I do actually know
the proper use of ifconfig, I just wanted to know of a way to do this
without typing a "ton" of commands. Yes, it's probably lazy of me, but
I knew that there should be a simpler way to "reset/reconfigure" the
network settings without completely rebooting the system and without
doing the montrage of ifconfig commands. My machine and I just moved
networks, so I had to reconfigure everything.
