Dear sirs;
I solved the problem i had the last time i wrote on the ML:
i did install OpenBSD on my machine - the matter was that
i needed to use the "floppyb3.fs" image.
I was really happy when the installer told me that the installation
process ended and i installed OpenBSD on my machine.... then
i rebooted the CPU and that's more or less what i obtained:
-----------------------------
ahc1 at PCI 0 dev 11 function "ADAPTEC ATA2940" Rev 0x00 irq 10
ahc1 wide channel A SCSI ID = 7 16/255 SCBs
SCSI bus 2 at ahc1: 16 targets
ahc1 target 3 using 8 bit transfers
ahc1 target 3 using asyncronous transfers
ahc1: board is not responding
cmdfail
probe(ahc1:3:0): SCB 0x1d - timed out message in phase, SEQADDR=0x155
probe(ahc1:3:0): BDR message in message buffer
-----------------------------
[Follows the NIC Initialization]
-----------------------------
dkcsm: wd0 matched bios disk 80
dkcsm: sd0 had no matching ata bios disk
root on wd0a
rootdev = 0x0 rrootdev = 0x300 rawdev = 0x302
uhub2 at uhub1 port 2
uhub2 ALCOR generic USB HUB class 9/0, rev 1.10/1.00 addr 2
uhub2 4 ports with 4 removable, self powered
-----------------------------
Then appears another message, that sometimes is:
-----------------------------
kernel: page default trap code = 0
stopped at _ahc_intr +0c2b_ movb 0x91 (%edx), %al
ddb>
-----------------------------
and other times is:
-----------------------------
fatal page fault in supervisor mode
trap type 6 code 0 [other values i couldn't copy] e10853F
panic trap
syncing disks done
dumping to dev 1101 offset 0
dump error 19
---------------------------------
This is what i did achieve installing OpenBSD either with floppyb3 and
floppyc3 on my machine.
The computer configuration is
CPU: AMD Thunderbird 900
3*128 MB RAM
Internal zip,
Pioneer DVD ROM
HD 10GB eide SAMSUNG
HOST ADAPTER SCSI : Adaptec 2940U (scsi id 7)
SCSI ID 3: YAMAHA CDW8424S
Could you help me having this configuration running?
Thanks in advance
Gabriele
