Is there any problem when WEP is off?

Do you have a base station? If not, you need to set the port type to 3.
Running the latest snapshot, I've noticed that I have had to cycle the
interface down, and then up (ifconfig) in order for some changes with
wicontrol to take affect. This wasn't necessary in 3.0, and I'm not
sure at this point if a bug was introduced to -current.
Also, you should note that IPsec is a better choice than WEP, as WEP can
be broken (see mail archives, security lists, etc).
