Kernel Config Mystery
Hello everyone,
This is my first post, and it's a doozie :) I am setting up OpenBSD to
operate in the capacity of firewall for my home LAN. I am currently running
Linux to do so, but desire a more secure, higher performing OS for the job.
I am following a book "Building Linux and OpenBSD firewalls," and have come
to the point to customize my kernel. I am trying to locate the file in
/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/conf, but when I come to /usr/src, I try to list the
contents, but after issuing the ls command, the OS hangs indefinitely on
this. I read to access the file on the CDRom, but can't find it there
either. Can someone offer some suggestions on where to find the GENERIC
kernel file? After that, can someone show me a resource that offers some
help in how to configure the source, and then compile it? Thanks in advance
for your help!
Regards,
Josh
