Damn.. did you format it that way on purpose?  I've seen better results
running Word documents through strings.

You might mention the different aspects of using X (i.e. wscons FB versus
XFree86's ATI driver), and the issue Dale fixed recently in the
OBSD XF4 tree Re: XFree86's module loader being flakey on PowerPC:
