configuring a swap device

Greetz all,
I've been a bit puzzled for some time about how a swap partition is created
properly in OpenBSD. After installation I often see an error similar to "wd0b:
device not configured" but everything seems to be functioning fine, as it would
with a correct swap setup.

When I partition the system off, I select to use the entire drive for OBSD. I
then delete "a:" and recreate it, leaving enough room to create "b:" at 300 MB;
[w] for write and [q] for quit. I then see the following, roughly:

wd0a 4.2BSD /
wd0b swap

What other steps need to be completed for this to function correctly without the
"device not configured" message?
TIA,
