NE3: device timeout

Hello,

I have a laptop and unfortunally its a Packard Bell. The ethernet card i have
is an Unex, model nr. MD011. Here is some information about the card:

* Complies to IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, and IEEE  802.3u 100BASE-TX standards
*Complies to 16-bit PC Card standard
*5.0mm slim Type II, credit-card size
*PCMCIA standard 68-pin connector for attachment to PC and 15-pin flat
connector to media coupler
*Automatically negotiates 10 and 100 Mbps connection speed
*Full/Half-duplex auto-negotiation for both 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX
*Coexists with other PCMCIA cards
*Supports all popular PCMCIA host controllers and network operating systems
*Supports all major operating systems including Win95/98, NT, NetWare, Linux,
IBM OS2
*Dual 5V and 3.3V operation
I succesfully installed this card on my laptop running slackware and other
linux distributions. And on other laptops it was very easy recognized by
openbsd. But the problem is this Packard Bell laptop, where i get

/bsd: ne3: device timeout

I also tried to recompile my kernel, and i also tried to give it an other irq
in the UKC, but didn't had any succes. Also i couldn't find any information on
mailingslists or google.

Here is some more information, from my dmesg:

cbb0 at pci0 dev 10 function 0 "Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus" rev
0x01: irq 10
cbb1 at pci0 dev 10 function 0 "Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus" rev
0x01: irq 10

ne3 at pcmcia0 function 0 "PCMCIA, FastEthernet, V" port 0xa300/32: LAN iobase
0x300 (0xa300) -> 0x300
ne3: address 00:10:60:3b:c2:da
ukphy0 at ne3 phy1: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface
ukphy0: OUI 0x0004de, model 0x000e, rev. 1

and some from console:
#ifconfig -m ne3
ne3: flags=8822<BROADCAST, NOTRAILERS, SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX full-duplex)
        status: active
        suported media:
        media none
        media 10baseT
        media 10baseT mediaopt full duplex
        media 100baseTX
        media 100baseTX mediaopt full-duplex
        media autoselect

I tried to put the nic to 10baseT and other media types too, but this was not
succesfull.

Does anyone can tell me how to solve this problem? I really want to run
openbsd on it, but i'm still forced to run linux :(

Thanks in advance,

M. Ynema
