Actually, That's what I did last autumn, so I have a small deamon that
listen on udp/3052 and complains when things go bad.

It probably in some kind of beta now, it needs some polishing but most
functionality is there. 

It would be nice to have some opinions on it, so get in touch if you want
to take a look.
