I've got a 3.0-STABLE system running YP/NIS successfully. However, a
user just complained that he had lost his password. No problem figured
I, I'll just change it as root. However, if I am using a different
master.passwd for YP than /etc/master.passwd, it does not work; I am
asked for the user's (lost) old password. Digging through the source, I
see no provision made for root in passwd/yp_passwd.c, which explains the
action I am seeing.
I'm going to go put in my encrypted password string as the old password,
but I was wondering if there was any better solution.
