Re: flaw in Apache: culprit found?
I'm not going to knock PHP as a scripting language, and I don't want to start
a
war. I used to script in PHP but between the security problems and the bugs
ands
ome of the nasty, un-programming-like behaviors it has I switched to
mod_perl.
Now, this isn't a recruting drive for mod_perl, because I've seen some
amazing
things done with mod_python and zope and a bunch of other. What I'm getting
at
is, in light of all the recent problems with PHP, and since I assume you
chose
OpenBSD for (among other things) security, maybe you want to consider
ditching
PHP?
Ignore me, I'm practicing for one of my managers. =) We use PHP in house and
this last two weeks has been a nightmare. I'm used to patching the IIS
servers,b
ut this is ridiculous.
OpenSSH, PHP itself, and now zlib. Screw computers, I'm becoming a soy-bean
farmer.
