3.0-stable make build breakage

i just did a make build for 3.0-stable and it boofed on perl
(usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "_Perl_malloced_size" called from
perl:/usr/lib/libperl.so.6.1).  i did, however, install the new mtree and
regression framework before i did the build.  should 'upgrading from'
minfaqs be completely ignored for -stable trackers?  i'm assuming the
regression framework is the culprit based on what i've read about the
perl-malloced_size error, and since it's a new box i'll just reinstall and
do a make build w/o any of the minifaq.
