Raidframe disk configuration/setup

How do I determine how much free/blank space to allocate to a raid
disk,  I have newfs'ed the raid disk leaving four times the recommended
space (one cylinder)  and I still run out of room?

Here is my disk configuration,  I have 3 drives that are identical for
the raid 5 array:
