Re: iBook 700MHz: console wedged after X11 termination
This is a known problem with the accelerated ati X server on macppc. The
X server doesn't fully restore the previous properties of the screen (i.e.
refresh rate). AFAIK there is no fix or workaround for the garbage at the
top/bottom of the screen but Matthieu said try setting the refresh rate
used by X to the same as what the screen was before starting X and that
should workaround the refresh rate problem (I haven't had a chance to
test that out yet).
