strange disklabel output?
I have a primary partition "A6" that is 2102.3MB or 4305420sectors.
Beginning CHS is 257/0/1 and ending is 524/254/63.
Offset is 4128705.
In disklabel, I d a the existing a and then do:
a a
offset 4128705
size 4094559
a b
This is where it get weird(?). It goes back to the original offset of
4128705 instead of
8223264. Am I missing something here? When I enter the offset myself of
8223264 and
size (210861), it is accepted. When I type "p", it shows correct size for
all partitions.
This HD is 20gig in size and holds win98 & 2000PRO. I am placing openbsd
3.1 in
between the ntfs and fat32 partitions. PM 6.0, ptedit, and fdisk (under
openbsd3.1) all
agree on these settings.
Why does disklabel try to go back to the original offset for the swap
partition?
Is it anything I need to worry about?
My other 2 installations didn't do this.
I know about nOOb questions and searched the maillist, google.com/bsd, and
read the faq's
but didn't find anything similar to this ;) (Did I miss it?)
This is a homemade computer with AMD K7, Socket-462 and ALI M1647 chipset mobo.

ps- doing a "dmesg > /mnt/dmesg" on a mounted floppy didn't work (yet).
