softupdates
i just read the article on deadly.org about softupdates. it's written
that on partition with the mail queue (i.e. usually /var) is not good to
have softdep enabled. but why it's not good? because a power failure
would lose the last mails or because something else?
considering on /var i've also the postgresql db, and wwwoffle cache, i
suppose removing softdep would slow down a lot of things imho. since
i've an ups can i use softdeps?
i'm not trying to use softdep at any cost, i just want to understand
the issues with mail queues so i can decide if it's better remove it
from /var or keep it enabled :)
