If you used the 3.1-release floppy from
ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/3.1/<your_arch>/floppy31.fs
you have a release.

If you used an install-floppy from the /pub/OpenBSD/snapshots dir, you
have a snapshot.

Of course you could direct the release install floppy to snapshot
distribution sets (or maybe the installer complains then? I never tried
:p), but if everything went "automagically", you probably didn't tamper
that much with the installers' great defaults ;-)
