Actually, having researched "diskless" operation on the i386 platform
quite a bit there is one area of the i386 architecture that is not
supported well, PXE booting.  I've used a hacked version of GRUB that
will boot an OpenBSD kernel via PXE.

Once again however a little searching through the mailing list archives
would have found this info.
