memory error (tinydns/ld.so)

I'm trying to get DJB DNS working, tinydns in particular and I keep 
getting an error in the log files. This is an intel box running 
OpenBSD 3.1. I run the con program and I setup the hosts, below is 
the message in the logfile (/service/tinydns/log/main/current):

@400000003d1a706b0b575fac /usr/libexec/ld.so: tinydns: libc.so.28.3: 
Cannot allocate memory
@400000003d1a706c11dbb954 /usr/libexec/ld.so: tinydns: libc.so.28.3:

any help would be greatly appreciated......
