Urgent! PPP inconsistency - 3.1

**Please reply directly if possible, as I have been waiting for over an
hour for majordomo to acknowledge me on the misc list, but can't wait
anymore..**

I've been using OpenBSD since 2.9 and am not an expert, but know my way
around. I've been wrestling with this problem for several days, with
no luck. It may seem initially like user error, although I am
confident there is something else..

I use ppp to get online, and share this (slow) connection between other
boxes on my home network via NAT, using 2.9. My IP Address is
dynamically assigned by my ISP; Australia's 'iPrimus'. I've
successfully been using 2.9 to facilitate this connection, and am now
attempting to migrate to 3.1 (which I have lready done successfully on
my samba server). I am installing fresh, so as to ensure the
distribution is clean and (theoretically) working.

PPP doesn't work as it should. I used the exact same configuration
parameters in setting it up, as I have in 2.9's ppp.conf (as shown
below):

/etc/ppp/ppp.conf

..

default:
set log Phase Chat LCP IPCP CCP tun command
set device /dev/cua00 #the serial port to which the modem is connected
 set speed 115200
set dial "ABORT BUSY ABORT NO\\sCARRIER TIMEOUT 5 \"\" AT OK-AT-OK
ATE1Q0 OK \\dATDT\\T TIMEOUT 40 CONNECT"

..

primus:
 set phone 99232000
 set login
 set authname xx
 set authkey xx
 set timeout 120
 set ifaddr 10.0.0.1/0 10.0.0.2/0 255.255.255.0 0.0.0.0
 add default HISADDR
 enable dns

..

Note that this file is produced by -
> "cp /etc/ppp/ppp.conf.sample /etc/ppp/ppp.conf" so I *am* using the
correct version of the file.

ppp is then invoked by: "gw-inet# ppp -auto -nat primus", although more
recently I have been trying to get ppp working *without* NAT ("gw-inet#
ppp -auto primus") -> this seems more logical to me in isolating the
problem.

I have read the manual page on 3.1 from cover to cover several times,
and can find no indication that the configuration for this setup has
changed at all. Furthermore, I am aware of two others whom I know
personally, who have had ppp in 3.1 working without issue using the
*exact* same configuration as myself (but a different ISP). I know it
isn't ISP error, though, because when i install 2.9 and set up ppp (in
order to stfw a little more and try to find some more clues) it works
flawlessly.

Here is some of the errors I've been getting in 3.1:

Jun27 18:02:13 gw-inet ppp[17995]: tun0: Warning: iface add: ioctl
(SIOCAIFADDR, 210.50.220.102/24 -> 0.0.0.0: File exists

And

Jun27 18:02:13 gw-inet ppp[17995]: tun0: Error: ipcp_InterfaceUp:
unable to set ip address

And

Jun27 18:02:13  gw-inet ppp[17995]: tun0: Warning: ff02::%tun0/32:
Change route failed: errno: Undefined error: 0

I also have a ppp.log but I won't include it unless someone
specifically asks for it, don't want to make this too long. By the
same token, I'm not sure how much a dmesg would help, but I can include
it if need be.

If anyone has come accross this, or knows why this may be ocurring,
please help! Again, please reply directly..

I love this OS and I don't know what's going on :|
