There's only one drawback in my opinion: You only get boot messages,
no boot> prompt. But I've read about the possibility to compile boot
so that it can also take input from the serial console.

I just didn't have the time to check (might have that someday) and
accept the shortcoming of my i386 compared to my Sun SPARCclassic
;-)
