power down Dell PE1400 and PE350

I have a Dell PowerEdge 1400 and PowerEdge 350. I'm unable to power them down
with a "shutdown -p -h now". They halt and I have to pull the plug on the
PE350 and push the button on the PE1400. Both servers are running OpenBSD3.1.
I tried setting machdep.apmhalt=1 in /etc/sysctl.conf on the PE1400, but that
didn't help. I'm not sure if it's a BIOS issue or an OpenBSD one. I haven't
had any other OS's installed on either of these servers so I'm unsure if they
would power down under a different OS. The BIOS on both servers doesn't have
any Power Management settings as do my other Dell OptiPlex OpenBSD machines
that power down with no problem. If anyone has had luck powering down these
Dell servers or any other Dell PowerEdge server I'd appreciate help getting
mine to do the same.

Thanks in advance,

John Hines
