I love the sparcstation 5's for their design: compact, quiet, efficient, but
most of all: the console port. I'm curious: what has anyone used to
console into a bunch of them? you could move a cable from one to another
etc., but it would be beautiful if I had a sort of com-port server that I
could connect to 4 or 5 or more of them at once-- a sort of KVM for the
console. I've been looking for something like a 10 x DB9 port unit that
connects to the back of a pc to give you COM1 through 10. This would be
ideal for routers etc. or anything with a console.
Just curious if any of you have experience or suggestions...
thanks, dan
