I guess I will touch a file, untar the release again, and find files not
newer than my mark file. But this is heuristics...

Let me suggest a feature: wouldn't it be useful if every a.out / elf file
in the release had an extra section describing its .origin? Wow, find /
-not -origin base-3.3 :-) What, me lazy? Sure thing!
