Actually it can be really hard accounting wise.
Many places I know will declare something trash and if
you take it to the dumpster in your trunk and get lost,
nobody will say anything.  But I had a hell of a time
getting rid of 20 monitors once (Alphae were cheaper with
monitors than without.  Go figure).
