Well, i googled for 'php openbsd install', and its in the first   
page of hits.  ive also replied with that URL many times.
guess I ought to put it somewhere into the port as well (but whats
the point, since all the page does is point the user to the port ...)

PHP hasn't used FLAVORS for 2 releases now.  People who are
familiar with ports know how use SUBPACKAGEs as well ... this trips
me up every so often as well, so I use binary packages where I 
can *shrug*

I was referring to the PR you quoted below.  I just updated
that with a status report of what's happening in -current.
