Boot off that nice shiny CD set you have.  Type s for shell.  Mount the
partition /etc is on manually, edit /etc/fstab, reboot.  All is well
with the world.

If you don't have a CD set, order one and then write a floppy.  Boot
from that.  Or cd33.iso will do, as well.

And think very, very carefully before you hit enter on that sudo command
next time around. ;)
