I don't want to kick them, I want to help them. Can you imagine how
difficult it is to manage all that market share, all that backward
compatibility with bad code, all that political and legal flak from the EU,
Justice Dept., state attorneys general, not to mention all that burdensome
cash flow? They need a rest, and we should help them get it.

I know not everyone on this list agrees with this, but computer monopolies
never last. Advancing markets and technologies make them too complicated,
impossible to maintain.

Re Office: I'm surprised some of the other alternatives besides OpenOffice
never get mentioned.
