Jacek,
I don't mean to be too blunt, or be bluntly too mean :) And, I'm very
sorry that you had a spell of bad luck. But, if all the delays were not
the fault of you or devguide.net, then who? Certainly not the trusting
folks that spent their money with you.
No offense, but take some responsibility, and make the situation right.
And do it quick, we've been waiting long enough. If that means eating
more expensive postage so that folks waiting for their book get it
faster, then do it. If that means finding someone in other countries to
help you fulfill the order faster, do that too. Or pay someone to do the
work in an expedited manner. Or all of the above.
The bottom line is that the last people that should be suffering due to
the turn of events are your customers. Instead of having me (and others)
bitch at you, maybe it'd be a better idea to do _something_ that has us
saying "what a great guy".
Even if the book is fantastic, I'm sure that current customers won't
forget the service. If you do something proactive now, you can still
salvage the situation somewhat. If you make people wait another month to
get their book, you'll never sell them another thing.
