I am trying to set up an ldap pdc that stores users in an ldap tree.
The smbd is connecting properly to the ldap server, the users, computers, groups have been added to the tree by smbldap-tools and the same users and machines have been added to the local /etc/passwd.
The problem is that i still can't join the domain.
The PDC access is working without the ldap authentication, so the problen seems to be anything with the users in the three. When i want to join the domain with user root, it sais that either there isn't any user root or the password isn't correct.
I dont use PAM and nsswitch for the authentication so could this probably be the problem?
Has anyone set up a working Samba PDC / LDAP on OpenBSD?
