OpenBSD FTPd - Problems with AppleMacs?

Are there any known problems with AppleMacs and OpenBSD-FTPd?

The problem is: I can't login... (or so)

 

A friend who works only with Macs (MacOS 10.2) can't login on my ftpD.

I tried to login with a Mac (and MacOS 9.x) from the university.

The Mac logged in but then it fails because he can't recive any data.

I tried to login from a PC with MS-Windows XP/2000 and it works well.

 

What could I do to make logins possible for MacOS?

The lastlog shows that the "ftpuser" logged in but on a Mac there no
data-transfers possible.
