Hello Guys,
I just installed OpenBSD on my laptop (running -current), and I have this
wireless card so I thought I could use internet connection from my laptop in
school. I've been trying to configure it with wicontrol, but it didn't work
very well. I just wanted to make sure if what I was doing was right. The
following is the configuration from my school.
(E)SSID: 212
WEP Key 1: 10111 21314 1516 1718 191A 1B1C
WEP Key 2: 20212 22324 2526 2728 292A 2B2C
WEP key 3: 30313 23334 3536 3733 393A 3B3C
WEP Key 4: 40414 24344 4546 4748 494A 4B4C
Channel: 3
What I did was:
wicontrol -q 212
wicontrol -k "0x101112131415161718191A1B1C" -v 1
wicontrol -k "0x202122232425262728292A2B2C" -v 2
wicontrol -k "0x303132333435363733393A3B3C" -v 3
wicontrol -k "0x404142434445464748494A4B4C" -v 4
wicontrol -f 3
I was just wondering if this was right because when I tried to set the SSID, I
got "wicontrol: SIOCSWAVELAN: Invalid argument" as an error message. I know
in the man page it said that SSID is a text string that can take up to 32
characters long. But, mine is 212.
Can anyone please help me?
