It is interesting you say that, there are several operating systems out
there that one would say were definitely not developed by experts - and yet
are far more popular than OpenBSD (I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking
about).  If someone is an "expert" that means they have, what? Experience?
In which case no one would ever develope an OS since no one would ever have
had prior experience.

Hmm, and which kernel have you developed on your own?  GNU/Linux might not
be popular by the crowd that prefers /dev/wd0 or /dev/ad0s1a instead of
/dev/hda1, but at the end of the day it has earned it's place as a popular
UNIX like OS.
