we should support about all intel GigE's out there. some very new ones 
_might_ be missing again but i doubt it, and if, adding support should 
be rather easy.

if i would get intel's naming scheme we could have more accurate info 
in the manpage; apparently just everything that is GigE copper seels as 
Pro/1000 MT, despite intel using about 10 (slightly) different chips 
for them.

and if you already have the card, like, d'uh, put it into some mobo and 
boot bsd.rd or somesuch to check
