Without delving into what you have here, I'll say that I have been
tracking -current and have not had a problem compiling anything.
This leads me to believe that you have a src tree problem. You
haven't given much information about what you have, so I think
that people ignoring you is do to the fact that you have not
said you are running a GENERIC kernel, 3.4 -release or -stable,
etc.
But unless I'm missing something here, you are trying to compile
OpenSSL on 3.4. Looking at my script(1) output of my last make
build I see references to OpenSSL 0.9.7c 30 Sep 2003, so I am
able to compile it.
I would scrub my src tree (or just move it out of the way) and
get a new copy, and try again.
