does not help here. tried snapshot from 2004.02.10.

by the way: the bios still seems to have troubles. it get's confused by
a 1G microdrive. 
- reckons a primary slave. there's no such device! 
- refuses to boot using pxe.
so i tried with a 2.5" disk.
