Slight problem with X in -current

Running the new X, I found that graphical stuff works OK
after I ran xf86cfg again, but I've found that text consoles
do not work.

Doing ctrl-alt-f2 blanks the screen. I can't see anything.
I can do ctrl-alt-f5 and get back to X just fine however. The
console is there however, as I can log in and type blind.

Any suggestions, or is this a known problem with this rev?
I can live with this but obviously its a problem.

I'm running 3.4-current compiled as of late on Feb 14th.
