I had the same problem also with an optical mouse (too sensitive).  My
fix was to switch to a generic two button PS/2 mouse.

I didn't see any options to select sensitivity in 'wsmoused'.  I'm
not a coder, but the sensitivity can probably be set in the
'wsmouse' driver in source file:

/usr/src/sys/dev/wscons/wsmouse.c
