This is what I suspected.

So OpenBSD just wants to use the work of others and not give them
credit for it, if they don't have to, right ?

Having seen the raucus that erupts when anyone tries to create a
derivitive (or fork) of OpenBSD, you've got to wonder whether the
OpenBSD project is using double standards here.

Btw, it's not Dawes, but "The XFree86 Project" (or the current
incarnation of it.)
