IDE Raid Support
[demime could not interpret encoding binary - treating as plain text]
Hi,
newbie here
I am trying to build and configure a pure FTP server using openbsd 3.4 using IBM
eServer, xSeries 305 and run hardware disk mirroring. The raid controller supplied
is a LSI Logic ATA 133. My problem is the driver disk supplied with does not have
OpenBSD drivers nor does the LSI website. I noticed that LSI is on the donators
list yet have not come across one LSI driver written for openbsd.
I created floppy boot disk using the "B" image which has Raid support yet it does
not detect the controller which is fine as its not in hardware list for support. After
doing some research, I have found no mention of this card ever being installed on a
BSD box before. I am wondering if anyone can help in pointing me in the right
direction of where i can look for this driver or if anyone has one?
Secondly, if I was to get my hands on the driver, how would I load it before the
install of the OS. I know in Linux you can type "linux dd" duing the begining of the
install to load addtional drivers, is the a way to do this with openbsd?
thanks,
