On http://www.openbsd.org/i386.html#hardware, it says:

"The list of supported hardware is relevant to OpenBSD-current."

The emu driver came from NetBSD. The current NetBSD emu driver does not
support Audigy. However, the OpenBeOS emu driver is based on the original
NetBSD emu and supports Audigy based cards (and has other enhancements).
The OpenBeOS emu driver is BSD licensed. I contacted the author, and
he is willing to answer questions and is interested in seeing his changes
getting into the BSD driver. If I were a better programmer, I'd be
able to add Audigy support to the BSD emu driver, but, I'm am not skilled
enough :( Also, the original emu author, Yannick Montulet, is interested
in porting Audigy support but has neither an Audigy card nor time :(
