asus 802.11b wireless lan card for asus wi-fi slot only, not pci
Does anyone know if this card works on obsd? I bought
one for my Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard, it is yet
to be installed on the mb, and I can't find anywhere
in the documentation or on the website what chipset it
is.
for example, here is the website
http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/event/wifiHome/overview.html?kp=motherboard
does anyone have any experience with this card and
have any clue whether it would work? I currently have
Linux/Win and would only like to install the card, and
upgrade this machine to obsd if it is currently
supported. This machine doesn't have a cdrom or
floppy drive in it currently, so getting a obsd dmesg
from install media right now would be hard, I'm hoping
someone has came across this card before.
the body of the card itself is encased in metal and I
can't see any chips.
and since it's not listed on the obsd i386 hardware
list specifically, I'm hoping that it has one of the
standard chipsets that drivers are currently written
for, and that it might possibly work.
any ideas besides besides buying a fd0 or cdrom
appreciated -- ideally looking for someone with
experience with this unique card.
thanks
bob
