Not very helpful, but I find it funny; A quote from the book Building 
Linux Virtual Private Networks. Chapter on PPTP the authors write "We 
recognize that there are times when you must support PPTP. <snip> In 
either of these cases, we offer our deepest sympathies. 

It seems a good reference to window networking in general.
