Thanks, but that didn't help either. :( I still get only a blank screen
and the same confusing log entries no matter what I try (the generated
XF86Config file doesn't look that different from the others I used, too,
once the many comments are gone/ignored.)
The only new thing I learned from this exercise is that I can get X
running in 320x240, 8bpp, with the vga driver. :-/
