Recently I had an drive Full problem, just one partition(slice) for the
whole system.
pings did reply but it took in the order of 30-60seconds for my ssh
session to show me the login prompt. Obviously the fetchmail and postfix
/ courier refused all service as well.
I suspect it was due to the / and coupled on it the /var/log filesystem
being full. I didn't look further since I got my ssh prompt and started
cleaning up some old update files etc etc. At least the client is now
willing to undergo an harddisc upgrade.
Is short maybe your harddisk is full, you might wait and see if your ssh
prompt comes up after a minute or so.
