ive committed support for xmlrpc into -current, so in openbsd 3.5
or snapshots in a few days you'll have a php4-xmlrpc-4.3.5RC3.tgz 
package to play with.

to make it work in openbsd 3.4, make sure you have textproc/expat
installed and add '--with-xmlrpc' to the CONFIGURE_ARGS as you did
before.
